When filing your quarterly VAT return on Intervat, you may realize that a mistake was made in your submission. If this happens, don’t worry, you can correct it. Below is a guide on how to correct your VAT return, both during and after the submission period.<\/p>\n

\u26a0\ufe0fYou can submit your VAT return between the 1st and the 25th of the month following each quarter. <\/b><\/p>\n

\n

After the deadline, corrective submissions are not possible.<\/b> If the submission period has closed, you can adjust your VAT in the next quarter. For assistance, please reach out to your Tax Coaches.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1. Correction during the submission period<\/b><\/h1>\n

A. Submission via Accountable<\/b><\/h2>\n

To submit a VAT return correction through Accountable:<\/p>\n

    Log into your Accountable account<\/b> and navigate to the “Taxes” section.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n

    Locate your VAT return<\/b> for the relevant quarter (Don\u2019t forget to toggle \u2018Show all [year]\u2019 (e.g., Show all 2025) to be able to find your past submissions.)<\/h4>\n

    Click on the “Mark as not done” button<\/b> to unlock the VAT period.<\/h4>\n

    Make the necessary corrections<\/b> in the “Revenue” or “Expenses” section.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n

    Return to the “Taxes” screen<\/b> and locate your VAT return.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n

    Click on “Submit to SPF Finance”<\/b>.<\/h4>\n

    Input the number of declarations already filed<\/b>. The app will usually suggest this automatically.<\/h4>\n<\/li>\n

    This process will send a new submission directly on Intervat, making sure your correction is filed correctly within the designated period.<\/p>\n

    Alternatively, you can correct your VAT return using an XML file. Here’s how:<\/p>\n
