In Belgium, there are three cases:<\/h1>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">\n<h2 id=\"h_2b0cc82290\">1- You are a &#8220;novice&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">You invest in cryptocurrencies as a hobby or a test investment, then your investments are <b>exempt from taxation<\/b>. However, the conditions are that you take few risks and you make long-term investments (we\u2019re talking about several years).<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">\n<h2 id=\"h_11f20e745d\">2- You are a private trader<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">You take risks with your investments in cryptocurrency and you buy and sell them regularly with the aim of making a short-term profit. You must declare your profits from buying and selling cryptocurrency in your tax return as <b>diverse income<\/b> and it will be subject to 33% tax.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">\n<h2 id=\"h_3c2abe01c4\">3- You are a professional trader<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin\">Trading cryptocurrency is your main job.
