Concretely, we use the connection to your bank account to:<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<ol>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Eliminate most manual work: with your account connected, you never have to type in a merchant name, nor correct an amount again. We also assign the relevant accounting categories better.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Make sure you never lose a paper receipt again: you make a payment, we notify you, you can attach the receipt;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Tell you when your invoices have been paid by your clients, without having you to open your banking app;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Compute how much cash is actually available on your account, based on your balance and upcoming tax deadlines.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"concretely-how-can-you-connect-it-to-accountable\">Concretely, how can you connect it to Accountable?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">There are several ways for you to start the bank connection procedure:<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">From the blue &#8220;Bank Account&#8221; screen, select your bank under &#8220;Connect your bank account&#8221; or click on &#8220;search for more banks&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">From the settings, in &#8220;Bank settings&#8221;, click on &#8220;add new&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"intercom-container intercom-align-center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/downloads.intercomcdn.com\/i\/o\/c9wnmh12\/1680528081\/2c5ac9fd71952684c26e91acdbec\/Group+1.png?expires=1787637600&amp;signature=16920715ed3eac63a8eedecff50b2c1aa49a6b273bee65a0e92805581c9e99e5&amp;req=dSYvFsx8lYFXWPMW3nq%2BgXFDWXuo60jaZN2q1%2FnmTiT%2BhWtW%2Bt8l8qARUjGm%0Avl0WmEzSPjWBa7Mn7Dal%2B2qxuyY%3D%0A\" width=\"400\" height=\"384\" style=\"height: auto;\"><\/div>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">From there, the exact procedure might differ from bank to bank. Indeed, the market for bank connectors is gradually maturing but no standard has yet emerged.<br \/>\u200b<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"how-safe-is-it\">How safe is it?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">It is extremely safe, and this for several reasons:<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">1\/ We only have a &#8220;read&#8221; access on your bank transactions, meaning that we cannot technically initiate transactions on your behalf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">2\/ As a payment institution regulated under the National Bank of Belgium, we have the strictest data security processes in place to protect your data. We are regularly audited and have strict reporting obligations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">3\/ Your trust is our biggest asset. Other banks will be added as soon as they are ready to be connected in the app.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">We are working extensively to increase the coverage of banks.
