We go through all the possibilities below.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_6f1a0c504f\">\ud83d\udc49 The most common causes<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>It&#8217;s not the right email address.<\/b> Check there&#8217;s no space or typo, and try the other addresses you may have used when signing up. Only your original login address works, not an alias or a forwarding address.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>You&#8217;re using the wrong login method.<\/b> If you created your account with &#8220;Sign in with Google&#8221; or &#8220;Sign in with Apple&#8221;, you need to use that same button. A regular password won&#8217;t work.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>You forgot your password.<\/b> Enter your email on the login page to receive a reset link (it expires after 1 hour). Also check your spam folder and the Promotions tab.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_b40339dca0\">\u2139\ufe0f <b>Not receiving any reset email?<\/b> <\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Most often it&#8217;s because you&#8217;re using an address that has no account, or your account was created with Google or Apple. In that last case there&#8217;s no password to reset: just log back in with the Google or Apple button.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_fdc049a004\">\ud83d\udcf1 The two-factor (authenticator) code isn&#8217;t working<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Your two-factor login code is generated by an app like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. It&#8217;s not a code sent by email. If it doesn&#8217;t work, try in this order:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Set your phone&#8217;s time to automatic.<\/b> The code depends on your phone&#8217;s clock, and a mismatch is the most common cause.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Use a freshly generated code.<\/b> Each code is only valid for about 30 seconds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Check whether there are several &#8220;Accountable&#8221; entries<\/b> in your authenticator app, and test each one.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Enter your recovery code without spaces.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Read our full article regarding two-factor authentification <a href=\"https:\/\/help.accountable.eu\/en\/articles\/15887137-trouble-with-two-factor-authentication-2fa-known-issues-and-how-to-fix-them\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"intercom-content-link font-inter\">here<\/a>.<\/b> <\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Still no luck?
