This can happen for several reasons, ranging from network restrictions to compliance checks or account limitations. Below you&#8217;ll find the most common causes and what to do in each case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h1 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_pending\">\ud83d\udccb What does &#8220;Pending&#8221; mean?<\/h1>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">If your transfer shows the status <b>Pending<\/b>, it has been initiated but not yet executed. The amount is reserved on your account, meaning it affects your available balance but has not been debited yet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h1 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_reasons\">\u26a0\ufe0f Common reasons why a transfer may not be processed<\/h1>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>1. Bank holidays and weekend days<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">The SEPA payment network is unavailable on weekends and certain public holidays. Transfers initiated on these days will be processed on the next available business day. The network is closed on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Saturdays and Sundays<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">New Year&#8217;s Day<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Good Friday<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Easter Monday<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Labour Day (1 May)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Christmas Day<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Boxing Day (26 December)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>2. Compliance or manual review<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Some transfers are flagged for a manual compliance check before being executed. This is a standard security measure. During this time, we may reach out to ask for additional information. Please respond promptly to avoid further delays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>3. Incorrect beneficiary details<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">A transfer may be blocked or returned if the beneficiary&#8217;s IBAN, name, or BIC contains an error. Double-check all details before retrying.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>4. Insufficient available balance<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">If your available balance is too low to cover the transfer amount plus any applicable fees, the transfer will not be executed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>5. Account restrictions<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">If your account is in <b>Limited<\/b> status (i.e. not yet fully verified), outgoing transfers may be blocked. This restriction is lifted once your identity verification is complete.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>6. Beneficiary country not supported<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Outgoing international transfers are only supported to certain countries. If the beneficiary&#8217;s account is in a country not on the allowed list, the transfer will be rejected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h1 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_steps\">\ud83d\udc49 What to do if your transfer is stuck<\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Check the transfer status in the app.<\/b><br \/>Go to Banking and look at the transaction details.
