This allows you to detect typos or incorrect recipient data early on and reduce risks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Accountable Banking and Swan now support VoP for both senders and recipients of transfers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_eb5d05dfcc\">How does VoP work?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Outgoing VOP: When you send money from your business account, a VoP request is automatically sent to the recipient&#8217;s bank.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Incoming VoP: If someone wants to transfer money to your Accountable Banking business account and their bank sends a VoP request, Accountable will respond to it in the background.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_f0b9a9579f\">When does VoP apply \/ since when must it be used?<\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">In the eurozone, VoP has been mandatory for SEPA and Instant SEPA transfers since October 9, 2025.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">A later introduction is planned for non-euro countries (e.g., from January 9, 2027).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Accountable Banking provides the service free of charge, in accordance with regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_85b144be8c\">How and when is VoP applied?<\/h2>\n<div class=\"intercom-interblocks-table-container\">\n<table role=\"presentation\" style=\"border: 1px solid #c6c9c0; border-radius: 6px; border-collapse: separate; border-spacing: 0;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"padding: 8px;\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">single transfer<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"border-left: 1px solid #c6c9c0; padding: 8px;\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">For each new transfer,<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border-top: 1px solid #c6c9c0; padding: 8px;\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">standing order<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<td style=\"border-left: 1px solid #c6c9c0; border-top: 1px solid #c6c9c0; padding: 8px;\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Only when setting up a new standing order<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\u203c\ufe0fImportant: Existing standing orders that were set up before the effective date do not need to be reviewed again.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_309ea6d708\">What do the results of the VoP test mean?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">The recipient bank can deliver one of four results.
