Editing the amortization table for your clients<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">As an expert accountant, you now have the ability to <b>modify the depreciation table<\/b> of your clients directly in Accountable. This gives you more flexibility to align your clients&#8217; bookkeeping with their fiscal reality.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Adjust depreciation amounts<\/b> for one or more years<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Remove specific years<\/b> from the depreciation schedule<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\"><b>Correct historical entries<\/b> that were booked incorrectly<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<h2 class=\"font-degular\" id=\"h_29d3709713\"><b>Why this is useful<\/b><\/h2>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Accountable works with <b>linear depreciation<\/b>. This means that when an invoice for an asset is encoded and depreciation continues automatically, the calculated figures don&#8217;t always align with depreciation that has already been applied elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">A common example: an accountant has been keeping the depreciation table for an asset in their own system, and now wants to continue managing it in Accountable. When the asset is added in Accountable, the linear calculation generates a depreciation schedule that doesn&#8217;t match the figures already recorded in the accountant&#8217;s own system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">\n<p class=\"no-margin font-inter\">Previously, this required workarounds.
