In this article, we cover what you need to do to receive your e-invoices from Proximus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"step-by-step-guide-to-receiving-electronic-invoices-from-proximus\" class=\"wp-block-heading font-degular scroll-mt-32\"><strong>Step-by-step guide to receiving electronic invoices from Proximus<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">To be able to receive e-invoices from Proximus, the first thing to do is register on Peppol. You\u2019ve already done that? Super, let\u2019s continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">Not registered on Peppol yet? Then start here: <a class=\"font-inter text-purple underline underline-offset-1\" href=\"#peppol\"><strong>how do I sign up for Peppol?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">To receive your Proximus invoices fully electronically via Peppol, the following criteria must be met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list list-disc list-outside ml-0 mb-4 space-y-2\">\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">You must have added your phone, internet or TV to MyProximus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">You must register and log in with an administrator account to be able to consult your invoices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">You must have invoicing software like&nbsp;<strong>Accountable<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">If all these criteria are met,&nbsp;<strong>follow the steps below to activate electronic invoicing at Proximus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list list-decimal list-outside ml-0 mb-4 space-y-2\">\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">Open the Proximus+ app or log in to the&nbsp;<a class=\"font-inter text-purple underline underline-offset-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.proximus.be\/login\/en\/default.html\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">Click on &#8216;MyProximus&#8217;, go to the settings, and then to &#8216;Bill settings&#8217;.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">In the choices for receiving your bill, select &#8216;Peppol&#8217;.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">If everything works as it should, Peppol will be displayed as checked and in green. From now on, you\u2019ll receive all your Proximus invoices in electronic format via Peppol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">You\u2019re informed via email each time a new invoice is sent, and these remain available for 24 months via MyProximus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">\u26a0\ufe0f&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Note that the above method is only for Proximus professional accounts.<\/strong>&nbsp;Are you a self-employed sole trader and don\u2019t have a professional account with Proximus? In this case, you won\u2019t be able to receive your electronic invoices via Peppol.&nbsp;<strong>To receive your invoices via Peppol as a self-employed individual, contact Proximus to have your personal account converted into a professional account.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"what-exactly-is-electronic-invoicing\" class=\"wp-block-heading font-degular scroll-mt-32\"><strong>What exactly is electronic invoicing?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">As a reminder, an electronic invoice isn\u2019t the same thing as a digital invoice. A PDF invoice is a digital invoice, but it is not considered an electronic invoice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\"><strong>Electronic invoices, or e-invoices, are XML files that are transferred in UBL format via the&nbsp;<\/strong><a class=\"font-inter text-purple underline underline-offset-1\" href=\"https:\/\/einvoice.belgium.be\/en\/article\/everything-you-need-know-about-peppol\"><strong>Peppol network<\/strong><\/a>. These UBL standards ensure that all the required information is included on the invoice and that it can be read by accounting or invoicing software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">These software programs can automatically create, receive, and even process electronic invoices. It\u2019s even possible to authorise them to pay invoices automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">\ud83d\udca1&nbsp;<strong>Accountable tip:<\/strong> You can use Accountable to receive and send electronic invoices via the Peppol network, including in the free version.&nbsp;<a class=\"font-inter text-purple underline underline-offset-1\" href=\"https:\/\/web.accountable.eu\/signup?\"><strong>Try Accountable&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a><strong>now<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading font-degular scroll-mt-32\" id=\"peppol\"><strong>How do I sign up for Peppol?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">To activate electronic invoicing via Peppol with Proximus or another telecom operator, you need to be using invoicing or accounting software. Then, you just have to sign up for Peppol. Registration is simple and free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\"><strong>Follow these steps to register via Accountable:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list list-decimal list-outside ml-0 mb-4 space-y-2\">\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">Log in via the website or app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">Open the menu and click on &#8216;Settings&#8217;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">Select \u2018Peppol (e-invoicing)\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"font-inter text-base text-black\">Register to receive electronic invoices via the Peppol network.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">It can take a while for your registration to be active. To know if it\u2019s been successful, search for your company name in the <a class=\"font-inter text-purple underline underline-offset-1\" href=\"https:\/\/directory.peppol.eu\/public\"><strong>Peppol<\/strong> <strong>Directory<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"font-inter text-base leading-relaxed mb-4 first-of-type:mt-0 text-black\">Once you\u2019ve completed your registration, you\u2019ll automatically receive electronic invoices from some of your suppliers that use e-invoicing.
