If so, you need to file an intra-community, or intra-EU, VAT statement. This is a declaration that lists everything you sold to clients in other European countries.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>With Accountable, you can submit your intra-community VAT statement yourself, without needing the help of an accountant.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who needs to submit an intra-community statement?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Any self-employed person who is subject to VAT or falls under the VAT exemption scheme for small businesses <\/strong>(annual turnover under \u20ac25,000) and has sold services\u00a0<strong>companies subject to VAT in another EU country<\/strong> needs to submit an intra-community statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You don\u2019t fall into this category? Then you don\u2019t need to file an intra-community statement or a so-called \u2018nihil\u2019 (i.e. empty) client listing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When should you file an intra-community statement on the Intervat website?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Self-employed people who are&nbsp;<strong>subject to VAT<\/strong>&nbsp;must file their intra-community statement at the same time as their \u2018regular\u2019 VAT return, i.e.&nbsp;<strong>before the 25th of the month following the end of the quarter<\/strong>&nbsp;for which you are filing your declaration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do you fall under the&nbsp;<strong>VAT exemption scheme for small businesses<\/strong>&nbsp;(annual turnover under \u20ac25,000) and therefore don\u2019t need to submit a VAT return, but have sold services to EU clients?
