Your bookkeeping just got a lot easier. From now on, you can set up recurring expenses automatically in Accountable.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That means saving time and money, because with recurring expenses, you\u2019ll never forget to log a cost in your bookkeeping again.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are recurring expenses?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Recurring expenses are business costs that occur monthly or quarterly. Up until now, you’ve had to log these manually in Accountable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many of these costs, you\u2019ll receive a receipt or invoice, but not always. And it’s usually the ones without a document that are most often forgotten in your bookkeeping. Think of things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • rent for your office, workspace, or shop<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • bank fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • \u2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    There are also regular costs where you usually do get an invoice or payment request, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • subscriptions and software<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • social contributions<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • professional insurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • car leasing<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • phone bills<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • internet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Thanks to our new Recurring Expenses feature, you can now set these regular costs to be logged automatically in Accountable, every month or quarter.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How do recurring expenses work in Accountable?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      You can now set up recurring expenses in just a few clicks. The cost will automatically show up in your bookkeeping monthly or quarterly, without having to anything yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      All you have to do is review the expense and upload the correct attachment.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If you\u2019ve linked your bank account and the payment goes out to the same supplier, the transaction will automatically be matched to the right expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Creating a recurring expense<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Here\u2019s how to set it up in Accountable:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      • Go to the Expenses screen in Accountable<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Click on the expense you want to make recurring<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Next to the date, click ‘Make recurring’<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Choose the frequency, start date, and optionally an end date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Click ‘Continue’, then ‘Save’<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
