We don\u2019t let you deduct expenses or declare revenue if not justified by the proper documents.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Link to the bank:<\/strong> by letting you connect up to 5 bank accounts in the app and automatically reconciling expenses and revenue, we help you maintain a clean accounting, hence dramatically reducing the risk of mistakes &amp; irregularities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This guarantee answers the most important problem you have shared with us.<br>It is also the reason why we exist: offering you complete peace of mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does the Accountable guarantee cover?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is covered by the guarantee? \u2728<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All tax declarations are <em>by default guaranteed<\/em> if they are initiated by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>any <strong>TAXES<\/strong> or <strong>MAX<\/strong> user who successfully completes the tax review and is in order of payment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>any accountant who successfully completes the tax review for their client<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does the guarantee cover? \u2705<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The guarantee covers any error or omission in the tax declaration that result in fines being imposed by the Belgian Tax Authorities, excl. fraud and non-submission of taxes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to <strong>\u20ac500 per filing<\/strong> in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountable.eu\/en-be\/pricing\/\">TAXES plan<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to <strong>\u20ac10,000 per filing<\/strong> in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.accountable.eu\/en-be\/pricing\/\">MAX plan<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>If the user made a mistake (e.g. encoding a document, adding a forbidden expense), we rely on Tax Authorities to say if the guarantee applies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tax Authorities decide that it was NOT carried out with the intention of eluding taxes: in this case, only non-proportional fines can be issued and we cover it as part of the guarantee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tax Authorities decide that it was carried out with the intention of eluding taxes: in this case, proportional fines can be issued and we DON\u2019T cover it as part of the guarantee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Situations covered by the Tax Guarantee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Below are some examples of when Accountable\u2019s Tax Guarantee can be used:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You accidentally <strong>applied the wrong VAT rate on a sales invoice<\/strong>. A VAT audit follows and you receive a fine. Accountable pays the fine, but you still need to collect the VAT from your client and remit it to the government.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You <strong>received a purchase invoice without VAT<\/strong>. You thought it was exempt from VAT, but in fact, the reverse charge mechanism applied. An audit follows and you receive a fine. Again, Accountable pays the fine, but you still need to pay the VAT that was due and not declared.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You didn\u2019t know a <strong>purchase had to be amortised over several years<\/strong>. An audit follows and you receive a fine. We pay the fine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"notion-enable-hover\" data-token-index=\"0\">Which cases are not covered by the guarantee? <span class=\"notion-enable-hover\" data-token-index=\"0\">\ud83d\udeab<\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The guarantee does not cover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>newly calculated or additional taxes decided by Tax Authorities after e.g. a tax audit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>penalties for fraud &amp; tax evasion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>interests on taxes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fines issued after the guarantee validity period (365 days after submission)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The guarantee neither applies in the following cases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The user willingly committed fraud, as stated by Tax Authorities, during the period covered by this declaration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user submitted their declaration late more than once or did not submit at all.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user forgot to add documents for the period of the declaration or submitted a document twice, despite warnings displayed in the app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user was ever asked by Tax Authorities to pay a fine for fraud or see their revenue corrected by the Tax Office in any period prior to the submission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user belongs to any of those special tax regimes: mixed VAT, margin VAT, or agriculture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The user did not fulfill the eligibility criteria for the guarantee (e.g. tax reviews), as displayed in the app.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"notion-enable-hover\" data-token-index=\"0\">\u2b50\ufe0f And now, what happens?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can focus on what really matters: build your business, live your passion.<br>We stand here, as always, if you have any questions or would like our help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>You are the boss.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicolas<br>On behalf of the entire Accountable team<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It\u2019s simple: if you receive a fine from the tax authorities, we\u2019ll cover it.
