Scandinavian IT group Visma is investing in Accountable, the Brussels-based specialist in accounting and tax management for the self-employed. A significant milestone for the scale-up, marking the start of an ambitious new growth phase.
Visma is taking a minority stake in Accountable, with the intention of building on that stake in the years ahead. This is Visma's fifteenth investment in Belgium, underscoring the Norwegian group's strategic push into the Belgian software market. Accountable will continue to operate as an independent entity, retaining its existing team.
"A key advantage of joining Visma is that we remain largely independent, while at the same time benefiting from collaboration with a large group of driven entrepreneurs and a strong, shared infrastructure," says CEO Nicolas Quarré.
With over 26,000 customers in Belgium and Germany, Accountable has firm ambitions to grow as a European platform for the self-employed.
