Self-employed professionals in Belgium can now submit their VAT return directly from the Accountable app, to Intervat. No external platforms or XML files required. A first on the Belgian market.
Accountable, part of the Visma group, is the first app to connect directly to Intervat, the official platform of the Belgian Federal Public Service Finance, via an API integration.
Users are guided step by step through the filing process, with automatic checks and verification via itsme®. Payment or reimbursement of the VAT balance can also be handled entirely within the app.
The direct connection replaces the previously cumbersome process involving XML files.
