Accountable is taking a new step in its mission to simplify life for the self-employed: with Accountable Banking, freelancers and sole traders can now manage their professional account and their bookkeeping in one single place.
Accountable Banking is completely free and gives self-employed professionals a Belgian IBAN number, the ability to make transfers, and the option to automatically set money aside for taxes and VAT in dedicated "Spaces". Income and expenses appear instantly in the bookkeeping, with no need to switch between different platforms.
The account was developed in partnership with Swan, a regulated financial institution supervised by the National Bank of Belgium. "Freelancers often tell us they lie awake over two things: sorting out their taxes on time and keeping their finances in order. With our new account, we bring those two worlds together," says CEO Nicolas Quarré.
