Peppol is a network designed to simplify sending and receiving electronic invoices. Accountable can be used to send invoices via Peppol, even if another provider (for example, your accountant's tool) is used for receiving them.

Important note: You can send invoices through multiple Peppol access points, but you can only receive invoices through one access point.

Case 1 — You are not registered on Peppol yet (and want send-only)

If you are truly not registered anywhere yet, Accountable cannot set you up as send-only straight away. Send-only is only possible in Accountable when your receiving access point is already set somewhere else.

  1. First, make sure your receiving access point is set up with another provider (for example your accountant’s tool).

  2. Then follow Case 3 below to activate send-only in Accountable.

Case 2 — You are already registered on Peppol with Accountable

  1. Go to Settings > Peppol and check your status.

  2. If it says Active: Send-only → you’re done. You can send Peppol invoices from Accountable, and you will keep receiving invoices via your other provider.

  3. If it says Active: Full (sending & receiving) → you cannot switch to send-only directly in Accountable. You should:

    1. Unregister from Peppol with Accountable

    2. Register with another provider (for receiving at least)

    3. Register again with Accountable and follow the instruction in Case 3 (below)

Case 3 — You are registered on Peppol through another provider (and want Accountable for send-only)

  1. Go to Settings > Peppol

  2. Click Already registered somewhere else?

  3. Select Register for sending only.

  4. Verify your business details.

  5. Complete identity verification (if requested).

⚠️ Verification may already be completed

In some cases, verification can be skipped automatically if you have already submitted your taxes or connected a bank account with matching personal details.

This depends on our internal checks and cannot be guaranteed, especially if you update any personal information during registration.

If you are likely already verified, you will see this message at the start of registration:

“You are most likely already verified.”

6. Your status becomes Pending, then Active for sending only once approved.

Important reminders:

  • You cannot receive invoices through multiple Peppol access points.

  • If you try to register fully in Accountable while you already receive via another provider, Accountable will automatically set you up as send-only.

For any further questions or assistance with Peppol registration, feel free to contact Accountable support at support@accountable.eu.
