Which documents can I provide?

✅ Preferred documents

We recommend uploading one of the following PDF documents:

1. Tax assessment notice (Belgium)

  • Must be the original PDF downloaded from MyMinfin

  • Issued by the Belgian tax authorities

  • Must be less than 2 years old

  • The document usually contains 5 to 6 pages — you must upload the full PDF

👉 We’ve added an example below so you can easily recognize it.

⚠️ The example only shows the first page, but you must upload the complete document.

💡 Just started working or recently became self-employed?
You can still upload your latest tax assessment notice, even if it shows little or no income (e.g. €0). This is sufficient.

2. Payslips (last 3 months)

  • Your most recent salary slips in PDF format

  • Must cover the last 3 months

🔁 Alternative documents (if you don’t have the above)

If you don’t have the preferred documents, you can also upload PDF versions of one of the following:

  • VAT returns (recent periodic declarations)

  • Proof of social security contributions

  • Issued invoices (typically covering the last 3–6 months)

  • Bank statements showing regular personal income (last 3–6 months)

Important notes

  • All documents must be PDF files (‼️ Screenshots and/or blacked-out files will be rejected)

  • Make sure the document is clear and fully visible

  • The name on the document must match your Accountable Banking account

  • Only one document is required

  • If it's requested, you will receive an email with a secure link where you can upload the requested document. It's not asked in all cases

  • Can’t find the link anymore? Feel free to contact the support team; we’ll help you access it again!

What happens next?

Once you upload your document, Swan will review it as part of your application.

As this is a regulatory check, the review is handled directly by Swan.

If you have any doubts about which document to upload, you can always contact the Accountable Banking team — we’re happy to help 🙌
