If you think your account has been compromised or that you've fallen victim to fraud, act quickly. The faster you respond, the better your chances of limiting the damage. Follow the steps below.
Block your card if you suspect it has been used fraudulently or if you've entered your card details on a suspicious website. You can do this directly in the Accountable app. (How to block your card)
Change your passcode if you believe someone may have obtained it.
Do not share any further information with the suspected fraudster — stop all contact immediately.
Before contacting us, collect as much information as possible about what happened:
The date and amount of any suspicious transactions
Screenshots of suspicious emails, messages, or calls
The account number or IBAN the money was sent to (if applicable)
Any other relevant details about how the fraud occurred
Contact our support team as soon as possible via the chat in the Accountable app or by email at support@accountable.eu. We will:
Investigate the suspicious activity on your account
Coordinate with Swan to initiate any possible transaction recall
Take further protective measures if needed

⚠️ Important: Report fraud as quickly as possible. For payment fraud, time is critical — the sooner a recall request is submitted, the higher the chance of recovering the funds. |
In addition to contacting Accountable, we strongly recommend filing an official report with the relevant authorities:
Belgium: File a report with the local police or via police.be. You can also report online fraud to the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium via ccb.belgium.be.
Germany: File a report with your local police station (Polizei). Online fraud can also be reported to the Bundeskriminalamt (BKA).
A police report number may also be required by your bank or insurer for any reimbursement process.
After reporting fraud, keep a close eye on your account for any further suspicious activity:
Check your transaction history regularly in the Accountable app
Watch out for follow-up scam attempts — fraudsters sometimes contact victims a second time, posing as investigators or offering to help recover lost funds
Review your login activity and make sure no unknown devices have access to your account

They always answer for questions wherever is via direct e-mail or through app. If they can’t answer fully they will forward you to the right place. Documents were always prepared well and ready to send further to government. Everything is intuitive in the app and easy to sort out even for someone completely green in this field.
