With the Accountable mobile app, you can generate a QR code containing your bank details so your clients can pay you instantly. These QR codes are automatically linked to your accounting, saving you time. Whether you're invoicing or receiving non-invoice payments, this feature simplifies the process. Here's how to generate and use a QR code for quick payments.
Open the Accountable mobile app and go to the Bank screen.
Tap on Get paid by QR code.
Select the target bank account where you want to receive the payment, or manually enter your IBAN if needed.
In the Payment Info form, enter the Amount you want to receive and any Communication (such as a reference note for the payment).
Accountable automatically generates a QR code containing the payment details.
Ask your client to scan the QR code using their banking app (on their smartphone) to pay.
Once the payment is made, Accountable notifies you that the payment is on its way.
Once the payment is successfully received, Accountable displays "Payment received".
You then have the option to either close the screen or add this payment as non-invoice revenue by tapping "Add as non-invoice revenue".
If you choose to add it as non-invoice revenue, you are redirected to the revenue form to fill in the payment details and save them so the entry appears in your Revenue List.
Open the Accountable mobile app and go to the Revenue screen.
Tap on Add non-invoice revenue.
Fill in the form with the relevant information about the revenue.
After completing the form, tap on "Add & Get paid via QR code".
Select the target bank account where you want to receive the payment, or manually enter your IBAN.
Accountable generates a QR code containing the payment details.
Ask your client to scan the QR code from their banking app (on their smartphone).
Once the payment is made, Accountable informs you that the payment is on its way.
When the payment is successfully received, Accountable displays "Payment received".
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I use this feature for both invoice and non-invoice payments?
A: No, this feature is only available for non-invoice revenue. If you need a QR code in your invoices for easier payments from your Belgian clients, toggle the QR code button in your invoice settings on mobile, or in the invoice creation form on Accountable web.
Q: Do I need to have an IBAN to use this feature?
A: You can either select a bank account from your linked accounts in Accountable or manually enter your IBAN when generating the QR code.
Q: How long does it take for the payment to be processed?
A: With Accountable Banking, the payment is processed instantly once your client scans the QR code and completes the transaction through their banking app. With other banks, the payment can be processed instantly but may also take up to a few days.
You can generate a QR code from the Bank screen or the Revenue screen in the Accountable mobile app.
QR codes are automatically linked to your accounting, so payments are recorded without extra steps.
This feature is available for non-invoice revenue only. For invoices, enable the QR code option in your invoice settings.
With Accountable Banking, payments are processed instantly. With other banks, processing can take up to a few days.

They always answer for questions wherever is via direct e-mail or through app. If they can’t answer fully they will forward you to the right place. Documents were always prepared well and ready to send further to government. Everything is intuitive in the app and easy to sort out even for someone completely green in this field.
