Adding receipts in Accountable takes seconds: snap, upload, or email your documents and Accountable handles the categorisation for you. This article covers the different ways to import receipts, what data Accountable extracts, where your files are stored, and how batch uploads work.
You can import receipts from multiple sources:
📸 Your phone camera: snap a picture and you're done
🖼 Your gallery: perfect for receipts you've already saved
📄 Connected services: upload PDFs from Dropbox, Google Drive, and more
✉️ Email: send documents to expenses@accountable.eu (from your login email) and they are added automatically, with no limit per email
💻 Web app: go to the Expenses tab, click "Add Expense," and drag and drop your files (PDF or images)
Accountable automatically captures key details such as the merchant, date, and amounts. Based on this, it assigns the right accounting category, saving you time and effort.
Accountable continuously improves its recognition system, so your feedback is always welcome.
Yes. Your files are securely stored on Accountable's servers in France and backed up daily.
You can access your documents at any time by exporting them via the Settings section.
Not yet, but you can send multiple documents in a single email as a workaround.
Batch uploads are on the roadmap, especially to help you catch up quickly on admin tasks.

They always answer for questions wherever is via direct e-mail or through app. If they can’t answer fully they will forward you to the right place. Documents were always prepared well and ready to send further to government. Everything is intuitive in the app and easy to sort out even for someone completely green in this field.
