Scanning a professional expense in Accountable takes seconds. Point your camera at a receipt, and Accountable extracts the key details and creates the expense for you automatically.
This article covers where to start, what gets extracted from your scan, how to add multiple pages to one expense, and how to upload several receipts at once.
You can scan a receipt from 2 locations:
The blue Bank screen: tap the "+" button, then select "Scan expenses".
The pink Expenses screen: tap the "+" button, then select "Scan documents".

From there, Accountable opens your camera. Take a photo and Accountable extracts the key details to create the expense.
Accountable extracts the date, the merchant, and the relevant amounts (such as the total and the VAT). Based on that information, it also suggests the right accounting category. If no category is suggested, Accountable could not identify the type of expense from the receipt, and you will need to choose a category manually. Always review the details before saving the expense.
Yes. Tap the "+" to scan another page or the back of your receipt if it contains important information.
If you have been saving receipts throughout the month, you can upload them all at once in the web version of Accountable using drag and drop.
Click "Upload a new expense".
Select all your files or drag and drop them into Accountable.
Accountable creates a preview for each file so you can confirm that everything imported correctly. Once reviewed, save them in Accountable and they will be instantly accessible from any of your devices.

They always answer for questions wherever is via direct e-mail or through app. If they can’t answer fully they will forward you to the right place. Documents were always prepared well and ready to send further to government. Everything is intuitive in the app and easy to sort out even for someone completely green in this field.
