You are using another software but want to switch to Accountable? Great!
Let me show you how to do that.
First, decide from which year you want to start, any time after 2020 is fine. You can then change your starting date in the taxes settings to your desired year, e.g. 2024.

In the next step, you need to export your data from your existing software. Ideally, you can export your invoices and expenses as separate PDF-files.
You only need the data from the fiscal year you want to do your taxes with Accountable. So if you want to catch up on for 2024 submission, you only need to add your 2024 data.
There are several ways to import your existing data to Accountable.
For your existing invoices, just go to the revenue screen and click on import invoice

then, you can just drag and drop your existing invoices and review them.

For your expenses, just go to the expenses screen and drag and drop them in the designated field and also review them.

You can also just forward your existing invoices and receipts directly via email.
Just send your revenue to revenue@accountable.eu and your expenses to expense@accountable.eu.
The documents will create automatic revenue and expenses that you just need to review and confirm.
It is important that you send the emails only from the email address with which you are registered in Accountable. Otherwise, the email cannot be assigned to your account.
If you want to send the email from a different email address, you should set it as an "alias" under Settings > Personal Details.
Please also make sure to send the invoices and receipts separately in PDF, JPG or PNG format.
Another option is to manually add your invoices and expenses directly in Accountable by clicking on either + Create an invoice in the revenue screen

or on Create an expense in the expenses screen in the top right corner.

The advantage of the mobile app is that you can scan your invoices/receipts with the camera of your smartphone.

💡When you import your previous invoices, Accountable will recognize and save automatically your clients and they will be added to your client list. |
Don't forget to add your amortisations with the original startdate of the amortisation and the amortisation period. You can find more about that here.

The coaching session on tax management was excellent, good material, excellent explanations and very insightful…my accountant and tax advisor are good, but never so comprehensive and accurate. Combined with the AI I never feel alone with Accountable

The availability of your team to help and guide people to understand their finances better is what really makes Accountable valuable. While the AI is able to give answer to most of the basic questions, specific scenarios need counsel from a human which your team performs beautifully.
