Whether you're invoicing for a one-time project with a defined time frame or recurring services, adding a service period ensures that both you and your client are clear about the dates that the services were provided. Additionally, with Peppol integration, these dates are seamlessly transferred as part of the digital invoice, making compliance with invoicing standards simple and efficient. Follow the steps below to learn how to create and send your invoice with service period details and Peppol integration.
Log into your Accountable account.
Go to the Revenue screen.
Click on Create new invoice to start making your invoice.

Select the client you are invoicing, or create a new client if you haven’t done so already.
Ensure all the client’s details (name, address, VAT number, etc.) are correctly filled out.

In the Invoice Items section, click Add New Item.
Choose the appropriate service you are invoicing for (e.g., Consulting Services, Software Subscription, etc.).
Add the amount and rate for the service provided.

On the top right corner, you'll find the field "Service date"
You will see an arrow with a drop down menu showing "Service date " and "Service period"
If you select "Service date" → input the date of the service provided
If you select "Service period" →select the range of dates during which the service was provided. Click the Start Date and drag or select the days up to the End Date.
Make sure to include the correct dates to avoid any confusion.

Before sending the invoice:
Double-check all information, especially the service period dates to ensure accuracy.
If everything looks good, send your invoice to the client, or download if you need to send it manually.
If you send your invoice via Peppol, the e-invoice will automatically include the service period details. No extra steps are required on your part to ensure the correct information is transferred.
