Once your Accountable Banking account is verified, there are a few steps to take so your finances are tracked correctly from day one. This article covers how to record your first transfer, manage linked accounts, and start using your new account features.
Your first transfer should be recorded as a private transfer. This ensures everything is tracked correctly in your Accountable account from the very beginning.
Open Accountable.
Select the first transfer.
Choose "Mark as personal" as the type.
💡 This first step keeps your account organised and ensures your future invoices and payments are matched correctly.
If you have already linked an external bank account to Accountable (such as your personal bank account), here is what we recommend:
⚠️ Keep the external account linked. Removing it will cause your past transactions to become unlinked from their invoices and expenses.
You can use both accounts at the same time:
Accountable for your business payments
Your external bank for personal or certain business operations
This gives you the flexibility of managing multiple accounts while keeping all business transactions visible and reconciled in Accountable. 🔗
Create your free virtual card for upcoming business expenses. Scan your receipt and the expense and transaction are linked automatically. The amount to set aside for taxes is updated in real time, keeping you on top of your tax position.
When issuing your next invoice, add your new Accountable IBAN so incoming payments are matched automatically.

They always answer for questions wherever is via direct e-mail or through app. If they can’t answer fully they will forward you to the right place. Documents were always prepared well and ready to send further to government. Everything is intuitive in the app and easy to sort out even for someone completely green in this field.
