Léonel Loens

Accountant Manager at Accountable for Accountants

Léonel is the Account Manager behind Accountable for Accountants (A4A), the side of Accountable built for accounting firms and their self-employed clients. He studied Business Engineering at Solvay Brussels School and joined Accountable straight after, where he has since worked on three sides of the business: performance marketing, product, and now accountant partnerships.

As a Product Manager, Léonel shipped features used daily by thousands of self-employed people, including Tap to Pay and the Daily Sales Book. That period gave him something most account managers do not have: a working knowledge of how the product is actually built, why it behaves the way it does, and what can or cannot be changed. So when an accountant asks whether an export can be adjusted or a VAT code mapped differently, he knows where to look.

Today, his days are filled with accountants. Setting up Accountable Connect with a new firm, walking through the first exports, sorting out a client folder that will not sync, and carrying the feedback from those calls back to the product team. Those conversations are the reason most of these articles exist: they answer questions that accounting firms actually asked him first.

Léonel works in French, Dutch and English, and is based in Brussels. When he is not on a call with a partner firm, he is usually somewhere on his bike.

When you read Léonel’s articles, you are getting answers that were tested on real accounting firms before they were written down.
