Is there a free version of Accountable?

Yes! Accountable offers free and unlimited e-invoicing for all self-employed professionals in Belgium. With the free plan, you can also:

• Scan or upload up to 5 receipts and invoices per month (including e-invoices)
• Link one professional bank account to automatically track your income and expenses
• Access the mobile app on your smartphone

Want full access to everything Accountable has to offer? You can upgrade to one of our paid plans (see below).

How much does Accountable cost?

Our paid plans give you access to even more powerful features, such as automatic VAT and tax return generation, live chat with our AI Accountant and Tax Coaches, enhanced tax guarantee coverage (up to €10,000), and much more.

You can choose from 4 different plans:

• Are you a small business with a VAT exemption (annual turnover under €25,000)? Then GROW (€15.50/month) or GROW MAX (€22.50/month) is right for you.
• Are you VAT-registered? Then go for the PRO (€22.50/month) or PRO MAX (€34.50/month) plan.

Our MAX plans give you extra peace of mind: you’ll benefit from an increased tax guarantee, unlimited questions to the AI Accountant, direct access to our Tax Coaches, and on-demand support (1-on-1 consultations).

Who is Accountable for?

Accountable provides all the tools you need to manage simplified bookkeeping and file your tax return as a small self-employed professional (natural person/sole trader), whether you're working full-time or part-time (side-hustle).

Student entrepreneurs can also use Accountable with ease and independently.

Does Accountable work for limited companies (BV/SRL)?

If you’re self-employed through a limited company (BV), we recommend using Accountable alongside your accountant.

With Accountable for BVs/SRLs, you can:

• Create, edit, and customise your sales invoices
• Scan and upload receipts and invoices
• Monitor your bookkeeping and cash flow in real time
• Anticipate how much VAT you’ll need to pay

Since running a company requires double-entry accounting (which is not currently supported by the app), you’ll still have to rely on your accountant for:

• Filing your annual accounts
• Optimising your corporate tax strategy
• Submitting your corporate tax return
• Drafting shareholder meeting minutes

Important to know

• Our Tax Coaches are always ready to help you get the most out of the app.

• We also run free weekly webinars for the self-employed covering everything from starting out to filing your first VAT return. Sign up here for free.
• Accountable currently does not offer Shopify integration (or support for other e-commerce platforms) and does not handle foreign VAT returns.
